Photography and life abroad are two prominent themes that have helped to define my life. I found photography at age eleven with an instamatic camera, one of those flat plastic rectangle jobs with the film advance on the bottom where your thumb goes, standing in front of Old Faithful in Yellowstone, burning every frame on that eruption of water because that’s how i thought the pro’s did it. I found travel sitting around a campfire in the Smokey Mountains. Disillusioned with my university studies, I was very fortunate to listen to a friend recount his experiences having had just returned from three years of travel and work abroad. The locations he spoke of were amazing; India, Japan, Thailand, Nepal, the list went on and the stories lasted all night. Weeks later, I sold my car and bought a one way ticket to Seoul. These days, I have a slightly better camera, and move around as much as possible. Thailand and Latin America are places I find myself often, but I’ll go anywhere and do anything. Life on the road. Enjoy it while you can.
