Robert Power
Welcome to me.
At the age of 20 I set off on a trip to Central America, which would define the path for the next stage of my life and lead me to where I am today. At the time the journey was equally exciting and frustrating; a completely different world from the Merry-Times of Eastern Canada where I grew up. My interest in travel had begun. And my dislike of cold weather was becoming more apparent as well.
The next year I moved to Japan and after that a 2 year stint in Thailand. I eventually ventured back to Canada to enroll in design school for a few years. After graduation I was immediately immersed in the corporate design world and realized a few more things: besides a dislike of cold weather, I am allergic to air conditioning and fluorescent lighting.
Now based in Bangkok, I operate Trooth Media, a design company, which allows me to sit in the dark with the air con off and stare at a computer 12 hours a day. My work includes the complete array of design, from websites to video, graphic design and photography. When not working I escape to surrounding countries writing stories and taking photos.
Throughout my travels I have met many insightful and interesting people - you can see many of them here - and it has been exciting to be a part of tngnt.
Back to work
